Property from an Important American Collection
signed Otto Natzler, dated 1986, with the artist's stamp and the original inventory label numbered x481
11⅛ x 4½ x 2¼ in. (28.3 x 11.4 x 5.7 cm)
Overall in very good condition. When viewed in person, this piece presents with rich variations of blues ranging from turquoise to dark blue as well as subtle, star-shaped iridescent decorations throughout, known as the artist’s “Nocturne” glaze. As pictured in the catalogue illustration, the vessel presents with two apertures to the top right and left corners of the piece which are inherent to the design of the piece. The ceramic body presents with extremely minor edge abrasions and accretions to the ceramic body consistent with gentle handling and not visible unless closely inspected. This lot has been inspected under blacklight and presents with no evidence of prior restoration.
