Condition Report

Overall in very good condition. These iconic armchairs by Prouvé are in well-preserved condition and ready for use. The metallic surfaces have been sensitively repainted at some point in the history of the chairs in a dense black color. The painted metal frames of the chair with light surface wear throughout and extremely minor areas of discoloration to the paint concentrated to the back legs. The original oak surface presents with a variegated brown palette and expected signs of age, very minor surface irregularities and light surface abrasions concentrated to the edges. The leather upholstery appears to have been replaced at some point in the history of the chairs and is in excellent condition, with very light creasing visible towards the outer edges of both seats.
