This work is in very good and sound condition overall. When viewed in person this monumental vessel presents with a rich and highly textural surface. The partially glazed ceramic body with variegated hues ranging from amber yellow on one side to burgundy red on the other. The ceramic surface is incredibly complex and decorated with deep lines across the surface, ragged holes and rock dust concentrated to one side, which characterize the artist's practice. Irregularities to the stoneware body and glaze application are likely inherent to production. This lot has been inspected under ultraviolet light and presents with no apparent evidence of prior restoration.
