1925 - 1992
pastel on paper
17½ by 18½ in. 44.5 by 47 cm.
framed: 27¼ by 27¾ in. 69.2 by 70.5 cm.
Executed in 1991.
This work is in very good condition overall. The top, left and right edges of the sheet are deckled. There is evidence of handling and wear to the extreme edges, including a few scattered and unobtrusive soft creases at all four edges, as well as a minute, 1/16-inch tear along the bottom edge near the bottom right corner. There are artist's pinholes in all four corners. Under very close inspection, a few scattered brown spots are visible within the weave of the paper, which are likely inherent to the construction of the handmade paper. The sheet is hinged verso to the mat at the top corners. Framed under Plexiglas.
