This work will be included in the Catalogue Raisonné of Paintings by Josef Albers currently being prepared by the Josef and Anni Albers Foundation, and is registered under JAAF 1976.1.165.

This work is in very good condition overall. There are minor scattered media accretions along the right edge, inherent to the time of execution. The colors are bright, fresh and clean. There is a very minor abrasion to the lower edge of the center square. Under Ultraviolet light inspection, the aforementioned spot fluoresces very lightly but does not appear to be the result of restoration. Please note, this work has not been examined outside of the metal frame. Framed under Plexiglas.
