Fragments

signed; signed, titled and dated 1961 on the reverse

oil on paper mounted to Masonite

30 by 40 in. 76.2 by 101.6 cm.

framed: 31 by 41 in. 78.7 by 104.1 cm.

This work is in very good condition overall. There are artist's pinholes in the four corners and the edges of the Masonite are taped. The unpainted areas of the sheet have discolored slightly with age, most noticeably along the right edge. Faint oil stains are present surrounding the painted areas, inherent to the artist’s chosen medium and working method. Under close inspection, a few media accretions are present and are inherent to the time of execution. Under Ultraviolet light inspection, there is no evidence of restoration. Framed.
