FERNANDO DE SZYSZLO

1925 - 2017

III CASA OCHO (TODO ÁNGEL ES TERRIBLE)

signed; titled and dated Orrantia/74 on the reverse

acrylic on canvas

painting: 47½ by 59½ in. 120.7 by 151.1 cm.

framed: 48¼ by 60 in. 122.6 by 152.4 cm.

This work is in very good condition overall. The canvas is unlined and well-stretched. The colors are vibrant, and the media layer is stable overall. A few minor pinpoint spots of media loss are scattered throughout. In the central quadrant, a pinpoint yellow spot accretion is present. Under ultraviolet light examination, fluorescence occurs which is inherent to the pigments selected by the artist. A few minor drip accretions become apparent in the lower left quadrant.
