UNTITLED (SHEEP'S SKULL)

acrylic and map collage on skull and metal globe

skull: 7½ by 11½ by 5½ in. 19.1 by 29.2 by 14 cm.; ball diameter: 2½ in. 6.4 cm.

installation dimensions variable

Executed in 1984.

This work is in very good and sound condition overall. The collage elements are secured and intact. Surface irregularities are evident in the collaged areas and are inherent to the artist’s working method. There are minor abrasions to the underside due to the work’s natural resting position, which are only visible when the skull is lifted and viewed from below. All components of the sculpture are present and accounted for.
