PROJET POUR UN STABILE

signed and dated 69

gouache on paper

sheet: 29⅜ by 43 in. 74.6 by 109.2 cm.

framed: 45 by 58¾ in. 114.3 by 149.2 cm.

This work is in very good condition overall. The colors are bright and fresh. There is evidence of light wear and handling to the edges, which have discolored slightly with age. There is a slight undulation to the sheet, inherent to the artist’s chosen medium. The sheet is hinged verso to the mat intermittently along the edges. Framed under Plexiglas.

Please note that due to the “New York State on PAUSE” restrictions, this work has not been reviewed by the Calder Foundation prior to the Contemporary Art Day: An Online Auction. The work will need to be reviewed by the Calder Foundation in New York prior to the buyer’s collection of the work. Accordingly, Sotheby’s will request that the Calder Foundation review the work at a committee meeting following the sale or as soon as possible in accordance with local requirements.
