2 volumes, 4to. 131 plates, printed by W. Griggs, chromo-lithographer to Her Majesty the Queen; minor adhesion marks to one or two plates. Original full blue textured cloth, spines and covers gilt-lettered; some rubbing to extremities.

LADY RANDOLPH CHURCHILL'S COPIES


This richly illustrated two-volume catalogue of bindings from the British Museum collection bears Lady Randolph Churchill’s signature in ink on the front free endpaper of each book. Lady Randolph acquired these books to research bindings for her literary quarterly, The Anglo-Saxon Review, which she published from 1899-1901 with the help and guidance of her son, Winston.
