the compressed globular body rising to a wide flared neck, painted to the exterior with lotus blooms on a yellow ground borne on leafy stems, all between bands of ruyi-shaped pendants, stylised clouds, and two further registers of composite floral scrolls, the neck with upright lappet borders against a ground of feathery scrolls, the interior of the rim with six chilong against a puce ground, the base with a four character reign mark within a double-square in underglaze blue
