the base inscribed with a four-character mark reading Zisang Xuan zhi (Made in the Studio of Catalpas and Mulberry Trees)

Collection of Wilhelm Montelius (1852-1918), acquired from China in 1901-1916 during his service as the director of Ericsson, thence by descent.
