2 volumes, elephant folio (635 x 497mm.), hand-coloured engraved architectural title, and engraved table of maps with large vignettes (the list of maps pasted on) in each volume, letterpress title in volume one, 103 engraved maps hand-coloured in outline (some double-page or folding), 21 engraved tables, 79 engraved "Table Alpabetique" (accompanying maps, not listed in the index), contemporary mottled calf, gilt vignette of Atlas to covers of each volume, gilt border, browning and some scattered repairs or loss, rebacked and refurbished, slightly rubbed, collation available upon request 

Initially, Jaillot worked in partnership with the sons, and heirs, of Nicolas Sanson to produce a world atlas - Atlas Nouveau - in elephant folio format, in paper size the largest atlas published to date, and completed in 1681.

Le Plan de la Ville de Paris is dated 1694.
