A ROMAN MARBLE SARCOPHAGUS RELIEF FRAGMENT, 2ND CENTURY A.D.


carved in high relief with a striding erote resting the club of Herakles on his left shoulder and holding a torch(?) in his right hand, his mantle draped loosely over his left shoulder, wrapped around his right arm, and billowing behind him; the head restored in marble.
