A ROMAN GILT BRONZE ARM, CIRCA 2ND CENTURY A.D.


from an over-lifesize figure of a god or ruler, cast separately from the torso, bent at the elbow, the fingers extended in a graceful gesture and probably once holding a staff or spear, remains of lead on the palm.
