Persian manuscript on cream paper, 108 leaves plus 2 fly-leaves, 19 lines to the page written in naskh in black ink, chapter titles and important words in red, six illustrations in multicolored ink, in a brown gilt binding, with flap


25 by 16cm.

The manuscript contains the following drawings:


f.40a: a drawing of the skeleton

f.62a: a drawing of the muscles

f.68a: a drawings of the nerves

f.73b: a drawing of the veins

f.77a: a drawing of the arteries

f.98a: a drawing of the foetus


An ownership note on f.1a states that the manuscript belonged to Mehmed Pasha [son of] Mehmed Emin Pasha Abdulcelilzade, dated 1213 AH/1798-99 AD. His father, Mehmed Emin Pasha, is recorded as being the governor of Van, Mosul and Diyarbakir, who died in Mosul in 1776, where he had been reappointed governor (Süreyya Bey, Sicill-i Osmani, Istanbul, 1308/1890-91, p.410).
