The elephant is generally in good condition with expected surface wear and occasional nicks. There is an old repair to the cast on one leg and traces of an old gilt decoration on each side of the saddled carpet.
The lower section of the standing Guanyin has been broken and refixed as visible on the condition photos. It also has expected surface wear and some pitting. The Guanyin has a fitting stand while the elephant stand is associated.
