The censer and cover are heavily and quite finely cast with some light wear and scratches to the surface. There is a ca. 1.7 x 0.9 cm rectangular filled-in casting flaw patch to the rim of the censer contemporary to when the piece was made which is slightly loose. There is also a 3 by 2 cm half spherical casting flaw inside the censer which is slightly detached. There is some minor malachite encrustation along the foot of the censer and under the stand.
