According to the Milton and Sally Avery Arts Foundation the present work depicts from left to right Doris Lee, Jan Gelb, Boris Margo, Sally Michel Avery, Arnold Blanch and Milton Avery. A preparatory drawing for this composition was executed in Maitland, Florida, in the same year. We wish to thank them for their kind assistance in cataloguing this lot.
