The following condition report has been provided by Nick Tatti of Tatti Art Conservation, New York, an independent restorer who is not an employee of Sotheby's:
The above piece presents in overall very good condition both aesthetically and structurally. There warm brown patina has an overall cohesive presentation with traditional highlights and lowlights, such as on the arms and the figure’s back, which are consistent with normal viewer interactions. The surface has recently been cleaned and given a new application of protective wax coating.
