GEORGIA O'KEEFFE'S PIGMENTS
A COLLECTION OF 18 JARS OF PIGMENT LABELLED AND USED BY GEORGIA O'KEEFFE
18 glass jars with black screw-top lids (each 3 in. high, 1 5/8 in. diameter), containing varying amounts of pigment (from full to just a trace), each affixed with an adhesive label with the color of the pigment written in O'Keeffe's hand.
The colors in these jars include Vermilion, Orange Vermilion, Zinc Green, Permanent Blue, Brown Madder, Terra d'Ombra, Blue Black, Ivory Black, Zinc Yellow, Terra Rossa, and Ultramarine. On the labels, O'Keeffe consistently spells vermilion with a double L.
Please note that some of the pigments may potentially be toxic, based on the possible presence of mercury and chromium
