Painted at Kintore in 1985 for Papunya Tula Artists, Alice Springs
Private collection, USA
The design elements in this painting represent the camp sites of the Tingari Men as they travelled from the west to the site of Parrapi, a swampy area to the north of the Kintore Community. Because the Tingari ceremonies are of a secret-sacred nature the artist did not reveal any further detail. However, generally speaking, these ceremonies are held for the instruction of the post-initiatory youths in the higher education undergone by the Aboriginal Men of the region.
