The immense complications of harvesting over two months from 4 September to 4 November, with 7 'waves' of picking, have resulted in a wine of enormous complexity. The bouquet is redolent of peach kernels and almonds which continues to the palate, with all the dimensions of caramel, tangerines and lemon butter and an aftertaste of spicy fresh ginger, reminiscent of a great rich Montrachet, with sugar of course, and even a touch of Sherry. Serena Sutcliffe, MW
