circa 1930s

palmwood, patinated wrought-iron

monogrammed EP

28 3/4 x 61 x 25 3/4 in. (73 x 154.9 x 65.4 cm)

Overall in very good condition. A dynamic, double-sided form by Eugène Printz with a variegated palmwood surface. The wooden surfaces appear to have been refinished at some point in the history of the piece. The palmwood presents with light surface scratches concentrated to the desktop as well as occasional and minor indentations and abrasions concentrated to the edges. There are some occasional hairlines throughout which are minimal and stable and consistent with age. The corners of the desk with occasional and minor losses to the veneer, not visually distracting. The wood also presents with evidence of prior and scattered minimal filling and inpainting to the wood throughout, but mostly concentrated to the edges of the tabletop and not visually distracting. The brass surfaces with light oxidation throughout consistent with age.
