Šárka Koudelová is an important figure of the Czech contemporary art scene. A graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, she is a talented and unmistakable artist, whose work appeals through the depth and breadth of inner content and semantic overlaps. One of her main sources of inspiration are medieval and renaissance painting, which, in her opinion, can be viewed as archetypal representations of generally valid visual symbols.
