Since the beginning of his studies in the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague under Milan Knížák and Jiří David, Špaňhel’s works have been in great demand among collectors. Thematically, his art has been influenced by classical painting. His work is unique, based on relaxed craftsmanship and reduced form, enabling the essence of the depicted objects to come forward.
