FÉES DANSE

signed G. Picard (lower left)

oil on canvas

canvas: 39 3⁄8 by 32 in.; 100 by 81.3 cm

framed: 46 7⁄8 by 39 3⁄8 in.; 119.1 by 100 cm

Not examined out of the frame. Oil on canvas, unlined. The surface is covered with a thick varnish and there are some isolated areas of craquelure. Under UV light, there are small, scattered thin lines of retouching to address minor craquelure to the right of the figure. There are additional small scattered areas in the trees and dots and dashes throughout the fairies.

Any reference to condition in the condition report for the lot does not amount to a full description of condition. The images of the lot form part of the condition report for the lot provided by Sotheby's. Certain images of the lot provided online may not accurately reflect the actual condition of the lot. In particular, the online images may represent colours and shades which are different to the lot's actual colour and shades.
