shape no. 506, of square section, applied on each side with a Classical female figure, a winged grotesque beast to each corner of the base, their tails forming foliate scrolls, the upper corners applied with rams' heads.
Height 8½ in.
Extensively damaged and repaired, section of pedestal re-stuck. One rams head partially pieced back together with losses, another mostly lacking. One applied figure broken into pieces and glued back onto jasper.
The other with one rams head with an area of loss, another with a section of rams head re-stuck.
Both with scattered crazing and stress cracks.
