A ST. JAMES'S (CHARLES GOUYN) PORCELAIN GILT-METAL MOUNTED BONBONNIERE IN THE FORM OF VENUS AND CUPID CIRCA 1751-54
modeled with Cupid in Venus' lap, the two holding a pair of billing doves, on a grassy mound base edged in flowers, the enamel cover, perhaps Battersea, finely painted on the interior and exterior with flower sprays.
