A ROYAL WORCESTER RETICULATED PORCELAIN VASE AND COVER BY GEORGE OWEN 1909


pierced around the ovoid body with a wide gilt 'jewelled' band and molded with various gilt-heightened foliate devices, of ovoid lobed form, the body with a large band of honeycome piercing, within four gilded barbed borders pierced at the shoulder, above a molded stiff leaf lambrequin border at the footrim, the cover with a pierced acanthus leaf band and knop, the whole enriched with raised gilding, factory mark and shape number 169/H in gold, incised signature 'G Owen', date code for 1909.

In overall good appearance. There is a minute flat shallow to the footrim measuring 1mm. There is a patch of wear to the gilded band at the footrim and some minored, scatter flakes to gilding.
