after the marbles by Jean-Baptiste Pigalle (1714-1785), Venus with two billing doves at her side, the underside impressed uppercase VENUS and WEDGWOOD; Mercury attaching his winged sandals, the reverse of the base with impressed uppercase MERCURY, over WEDGWOOD.

Venus, 19 in.; Mercury, 18¼ in.

Both figures are in good appearance. Mercury, restoration to the wings of his helmet, otherwise in good condition. Venus in good condition.
