shape 2449, decorated by Marc Louis Solon, each signed L Solon, incised, each of slender shape with a spirally fluted neck and foot, the shoulder affixed with two gilt wreaths resting on lug handles, decorated in white slip with Cupid either 'Sowing the Seeds of Love' or 'Harvesting Love', the corresponding reverse with a wreath of cupids hatching from eggs or fruit and scythes, crowned globe Mintons marks in gold, impressed MINTONS marks, letter S, date code for 1892.
Height 16½ in.
Both vases have some small chips to the laurel wreath handles, one of which has an area of loss to the upper section of the wreath. Both covers restored and re-gilded.
