A MINTONS PÂTE-SUR-PÂTE BRONZE-GREEN-GROUND PLAQUE, 'THE BATTLE BETWEEN FIRE AND WATER' CIRCA 1900


decorated by Marc Louis Solon, signed L. Solon in white slip, decorated with a putto protecting a flaming torchère from another above pouring water, the ground decorated with gilded stars, mounted in a carved giltwood frame.

The plaque 6¾ x 3⅝ in.; Overall 12¾ x 8⅞ in.
