The Omega Speedmaster Professional 145.012 was the very last Speedmaster model to run on the legendary Lémania-based Caliber 321 manual-wound chronograph movement. Omega produced the 145.012 for a very short time, from 1967 until 1968 (with a few models such as this one delivered in 1969). A “Pre-Moon” Speedmaster Professional, this is the same reference worn by astronaut Michael Collins during the historic Apollo 11 mission that landed two men on the moon. The 145.012 also includes the sought-after “Dot over 90” (DO90 or DON) tachymeter bezel. The matte black dial includes the applied Omega logo, which was replaced by a printed logo on later references, and the tritium hour markers have developed a warm sand colored patina. This stainless steel watch features an unpolished lyre-lug case - a design characteristic of the 145.012, making this example a fantastic representation of the last vintage Speedmaster to house the coveted Caliber 321 movement.
