Conceived in 1931 to cater to demanding polo players, the Jaeger LeCoultre Reverso has since become an all-time must have in any watch collection. The reversible case design meant the dial would be protected from any shock, while the other side could potentially have a custom engraving, or even unveil the movement or a second dial in more recent iterations.
The present stainless steel reference 240.8.15 bears a wonderful 8-day power reserve indicator as well as a large 'double guichet' date. The hand-wound calibre 875 can be observed on the backside of the reversible case, exposing its central duo-spring barrels. This watch was sold in July, 2003 and is offered with its full suite of accessories.
