Lange & Söhne's commitment to the highest standards of horology, the Zetiwerk was awarded the L'Aiguille d'Or Grand Prize at the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève in 2009.

Building upon such a well-received watch was the Zeitwerk Striking Time which combined the already impressive watch with digital display and a sonnerie complication. Housed in a large 44.2 mm case, the Zeitwerk Striking Time makes a statement every quarter hour with a chime via a hammer on a single gong. The brand added a novel twist to the Zeitwerk striking time by displaying two hammers onto two gongs on the dial, revealing the intricate movement of the striking mechanism.
