ROLEX | DAYTONA, REF 6240 STAINLESS STEEL CHRONOGRAPH WRISTWATCH WITH BRACELET AND LATER TIFFANY DIAL CIRCA 1966

The present watch is presented in very good overall condition. It has to be noted however that, during the course of this watch's lifetime, the bezel and pushers have been replaced at service and the previous owner opted to have a Tiffany Dial added to the watch. Indeed the inside case back shows service marks form 1977 and then again 10 years later in 1988. While the dial was not born with this watch, the dial itself, remains in good original condition. Some of the lume plots have degraded and there are signs of lume on the dial from where this has occurred, however, this is not uncommon and further testament to its originality. 

All in all, taking into account the changes and replacements, the watch still retains every aesthetic feature that has made the Daytona so highly prized. What is more, the present lot at this price point, while perhaps not appealing to those looking for perfection, offers any potential buyer the opportunity to purchase a Daytona that could easily be a daily wearer.
