The Jules Audemars Equation of Time elegantly combines several functions, including the Equation of Time, time of sunrise and sunset, and the perpetual calendar with astronomic moon. The firm has been perfecting the Equation of Time function since the late 19th Century, and introduced its first model featuring a perpetual calendar in 1925. As times of sunrise and sunset depend on longitude and latitude, each watch containing this function is essentially customized to reflect the location of the buyer, and therefore give the most accurate time of sunrise and sunset.
