The picture is unlined and the original canvas is providing a stable structural support for the picture. There are a few slight frame abrasions to the right edge and areas of minor craquelure which appear stable and are only visible upon close inspection.
UNDER ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT
There are a few very minor localised retouchings (to a small area behind the boy, to a small area between the two figures and flecked minor retouchings to the boy's face.
