Condition Report

The picture is lined, which is providing a stable structural support. The paint surface is clean and there are no signs of craquelure. The picture is ready to be hung.


UNDER ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT

There is a small area of restoration on the trunk of a tree in the centre left of the composition and a few spots of very minor retouching in the upper right of the sky (this is very minor).


FRAME

The picture is contained in a moulded plaster and gilt frame - probabaly the original.
