Oblong folio (308 x 430mm.), 106 photographs and collotypes, mostly albumen prints (6 with average 75 x 85mm., or the reverse; the remainder average 225 x 282mm., or the reverse), mounted on thick card, recto and verso, most captioned and/or signed 'Bonfils' in the negative, contemporary morocco backed boards, minor fading and a few tears, rebacked, slightly worn
The views include: Jaffa, Beirut, Baalbek, Zahle, Mount Lebanon, Valley of the Arnon, Temple of the Sun, Gerasa, Temple of the Sun, Syria, Palmyra, Amman, Athens and Damascus. The negative numbers range from 330 to 1081. One albumen print of Damascus at end attributed to Francis Frith with blindstamp "Photograph's Warehouse". The group of photographs and collotypes of Athens is attributed to the Rhomaides Brothers.
