Oblong folio (335 x 464mm.), 78 albumen prints (from 162 x 217mm. to 215 x 270mm., or the reverse), mounted recto only (some mounts with two photographs), most with manuscript titles to mounts, some titled in the negative, "Marion & Co., 22 Soho Square, London", blindstamp to front free endpaper, contemporary dark green half morocco, pebbled boards, title label in morocco to upper cover, red edges, metal clasp, some fading, a few photographs trimmed, spotting (mostly to mounts), rubbed and slightly bowed
The photographs include: Castle and Bridge of St. Angelo, St. Peter's Basilica, Fountain in Piazza S. Pietro, The Vatican, Theatre of Marcellus, St. John Lateran, Capitol, Villa Borghese, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, St. Paul's Cathedral, Baberini Fountain, Piazza Navona, et al. A few photographs are after artworks
