Cask Number 8/1995, distilled on 2 February 1995, bulk 136.62 litres, 52.4 abv, 71.60 RLA, date of regauging 31.07.2019, originally filled into a refill Hogshead, reracked into First Fill Oloroso Cask on 22.02.2019, at the time of gauging this cask yields circa 195 bottles.

Appearance: Amber

Initial notes of Islay peat – not too intense though – are followed by sweetness. Barbecued banana, strawberry cough syrup, starch, champagnes lees and treacle. This whisky is rich, and slightly medicinal, oscillating between sweet, savoury and smoke. There is an undeniable smell of Islay kilns and malting floors, farmyards and cattle barns freshened with coastal sea air and hay. Hay liqueur I once had in Austria. BBQ Pit with sticky sauce and salted caramel chocolates for pudding.

This whisky is very mouth coating, covering the palate with grilled tropical fruit and classic Bowmore peat. The finish dances through flavours of BBQ, Papaya, ash, wood, syrup and smoke. A journey through Bowmore’s signature flavours.
