LEONORA CARRINGTON (1917 - 2011)

TUESDAY: TWO PRINTS

Two lithographs, the first printed in sepia, the second printed in colors, 1987, each signed in pencil, the first numbered 6/30, the second numbered 41/150, on wove paper, each with the blindstamps of the printer, American Atelier, published by Brewster Editions, New York (2 prints)

Each sheet (approximately): 25⅝ by 36 in. (65 by 91.5 cm)

Framed (sepia): 33½ by 43¼ in. (85 by 110 cm)

The prints are in good condition, with apparently full margins. Each with very faint mat-stain, visibly mainly when light passes through the sheet, and a few spots of stray ink in the margins. The sepia print with two small surface abrasions in the image at right, a soft vertical crease in lower right margin, a soft crease at upper left corner and a slight scuff in lower left margin. Each with remains from prior hinging on the verso. (The verso of the color print with a few minuscule fox marks. The verso of the sepia print with some adhesive residue at top corners.)
