TWENTY-NINE ILLUMINATED QUR’AN AJZA', COPIED BY MUHAMMED SADIQ AL-HUSAINI AL-YAZDI, PERSIA, QAJAR, DATED 1243 AH/1827-28 AD


Arabic manuscript on paper, each volume with 12 lines to the page, written in naskh in black ink, ruled in red, green, gold and blue, verses separated by gold and polychrome rosettes, surah headings in white or blue or pink riqa’ against a gold ground within polychrome cartouches, gold and polychrome hisb markers in the margins, the illuminated opening double pages of each juz’ decorated with a gold and polychrome border of interlacing flowers and an illuminated heading, juz' I with an opening illuminated frontispiece, in green leather binding
