Arabic manuscript on watermarked paper, 148 leaves plus 2 fly-leaves, 9 lines to the page, written in naskh in black ink, ruled in gold, black and red, verses separated by gold and polychrome rosettes, surah headings or titles in black riqa against a gold ground within cartouches, important works in red, misbound, one illuminated heading (‘unwan) on f.14b, several illustrations and diagrams, including Mecca (f.8b) and Medina (f.9a), the tombs of the first Caliphs (f.9b), the minbar of the Prophet (f.10a), the Tree of Paradise (f.6b) and the Seal of Prophethood (f.7a), in leather gild binding, with flap

The margins are overall clean, the manuscript has been rebound later and some pages are upside down, the order is also not correct and the manuscript is misbound and possibly incomplete, minor stains and smudging throughout and minor losses the paintings, as viewed.
