In good conserved condition, with the usual minor shrinkage at joints and scattered cracks consistent with age and use. Re-gilt with scattered rubbing to gilding, and remnants of white paint on inner seat rails suggesting chairs may have previously had painted decoration. Rails with later reinforcements and old worm holes. Upholstery still in good condition with only very minor wear. Chairs sturdy and amply proportioned, ready to place.
