FIRST EDITION of this treatise on the stratagems of war used by predominantly Greek generals, with some by Romans and generals of other nations. It was written in the second century AD, dedicated to Marcus Aurelius and Lucius Verus, and originally contained 900 stratagems. The original Greek text was first printed in 1589.
