folio (390 x 268mm.), half-title, engraved title-page, engraved portrait of the dedicatee, Ferdinand Maria of Bavaria, woodcut initials, head- and tailpieces, engraved illustrations (some full-page), woodcut printer's device above colophon, contemporary vellum, a few small wormholes in binding, spine defective at head and foot

Third edition. The text has been reset so that many of the images now appear alongside the relevant letterpress text, rather than on separate sheets as in the first edition (see lot 305).
