ALL FIRST EDITIONS. Lupicini was a hydraulic engineer for the Medici in Florence who worked on the flood control for the Arno. In the first work he recommends installing a substantial ten cannon on each flank of a fortress, to ensure that defenders could match any offensive firepower.
